John Cena Suffers Herniated Disc, Could Be Out For Up To A Year
Last Night on Raw, General Manager Mike Adamle announced that John Cena had suffered a herniated disc in his neck, and he would be out indefinitely. John Cena was replaced by Rey Mysterio in the "Championship Scramble" for the World Heavyweight Championship at Unforgiven. Apparently, Cena suffered the injury following his Match with Batista at SummerSlam, where Batista connected with two Batista Bombs, which is probably the maneuver which caused the injury. John could have fusion surgery, which could rule him out for a year or possibly more, the same surgery undergone on the likes of Edge, Gregory Helms, Chris Benoit, Rhino and many more. Any updates will be posted.

It was already stated that the surgery was a succes and he'll only be out for about four months. Thank god for that.

Four Months is January, so I expect John Cena will return either at the Royal Rumble (Again?) or return on the first 2009 edition of Raw, imo.

Judging by how fast Cena usually recovers(He's a machine really), I would even go as far as saying he could return before the end of the year.

I wouldn't be shocked if Super Cena came back and won at Unforgiven this Sunday. I think it wil be good to give other talent the chance to build an opportunity for themselves in his absence
